Where do Bioscript Pioneers come from? What can we learn about entry criteria for a MedComms career?

The key criteria that help a candidate start a career in MedComms can be the subject for lively discussion. In practice, employers vary widely in exactly what they look for, but lessons can be learnt from closer examination of what happens in practice at any one company. This session will dissect the data from the latest round of recruitment for the entry-level programme at Bioscript Group, Pioneer. We will cover each component of the recruitment process and the numbers behind it. We look at whether the numbers support the notion that a higher-level degree is likely to give you a better chance of success. We also look at whether or not the university you attended has an impact on a successful application. Lesley Jacques and Deborah Stanford, leaders of the Pioneer programme at Bioscript Group share their thoughts and insights around the numbers and reflect on how they reflect recruitment across the wider MedComms community. They are joined on the panel by their colleagues, Jess Buxton (Scientific Associate and a Bioscript Pioneer) and Pete Griffiths (HR and Talent Acquisition Specialist). And we answer questions from the audience.
